Minnesota Golden Gophers' defensive lineman Jaxon Howard is hosting his annual summer football camp on July 15 at Robbinsdale Cooper High School.
The camp, called "My Brother's Keeper," is free for all participants and will feature games and drills.
It will be held from 6-8 p.m. and all participants will get free pizza and drinks.
Several of Howard's Gophers teammates will be on hand as volunteer coaches.
Jaxon Howard played 13 games last season with the Gophers, finishing with 29 tackles.
The University of Minnesota football team convenes for fall camp in August, with their next game on September 4 against Eastern Illinois Panthers.
The Gophers are currently in summer workouts, using their time away from the practice field to give back to the community.
And the camp is a great opportunity for kids to learn from experienced players.
But it's also a chance for the Gophers to build relationships with the local community.
So the camp is an important part of the team's offseason activities.
The camp is open to kids from first grade to eighth grade, with registration starting at 5 p.m.
By the numbers, Howard is back in Minnesota for his redshirt junior season, after playing one season at LSU.
He signed with LSU out of high school, but came home to the Gophers after one season.
In 2025, Howard played in all 13 games and made 29 tackles, with 5.5 tackles for loss and four sacks.
The Gophers will look to build on their recent success, with Howard playing a key role on the defensive line.
