The Minnesota Golden Gophers have made a significant addition to their 2027 recruiting class by securing a commitment from three-star defensive lineman Lemani Fehoko. The 6'1", 275-pound athlete from Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, California, chose the Gophers over offers from several prominent programs, including Tennessee and Michigan State. Fehoko's decision was influenced by the positive culture he experienced during his visits to Minneapolis. Minnesota offered him a scholarship in late January, and after visiting campus multiple times, he committed following his official visit during the Gophers' Summer Splash event. Fehoko is coming off a strong junior season, recording 12 tackles for loss and three sacks, showcasing his potential to bolster the Gophers' defensive line. He joins a growing list of commitments, including other notable recruits like Wyatt Wilber and Jyden German. Currently, the Gophers' 2027 class ranks tenth in the Big Ten and 23rd nationally, reflecting a strategy focused on volume with a mix of talent.
